Sofitel St James London is a grade II listed building situated in one of the most sought-after sites in the city.  It manages to successfully achieve a marriage of French modernism and British old world elegance to create the perfect venue for a wedding, conference, meeting or simply a place to stay and dine in luxury.

Sofitel St James London was formerly the headquarters of a Lloyds Bank subsidiary and owned by The Crown Estate. The original building, designed by E. Keynes Purchase in association with Durward Brown, was completed in 1923. It housed the headquarters of Cox & Company and later became Cox & Kings following the acquisition of Henry S. King & Co.

Today, Sofitel St James London is run by manager Gilbert Faddoul and his welcoming team. It is situated in the heart of London, close to the international landmarks of Trafalgar Square and Regent Street, within walking distance of the shops and West End theatres. The luxury 5 star hotel combines the finest elements of the building.s distinguished past with a contemporary style and French sophistication.

The interior designer, P-Y Rochon, has put a strong emphasis on art and has created a comfortable and warm atmosphere throughout the hotel. Guests can enjoy afternoon Tea in the Rose Lounge while listening to the sound of a harp and browsing through the many books in the library. They can relax in the St James Bar before dining in the ground floor restaurant; Brasserie Roux that seats up to 100. This distinguished restaurant which is under the watchful eye of world-renowned chef, Albert Roux, offers new classic French cuisine in an atmosphere of informal elegance.

Sofitel St James also has elegant conference & banqueting facilities that comprise of eight state of the art suites. They can cater for anything from a board meeting to a lavish banquet or wedding party. The suites provide the flexibility to cater for meetings from 2 to 170 persons and are backed by exceptional standards of service. They are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and they can arrange wedding packages for room bookings.
