The Beetle & Wedge Boathouse in Moulsford

Set on the banks of the River Thames on the stretch of river immortalised in ‘The Wind in the Willows’, where Jerome K Jerome chronicled the escapades of his friends’ visits in ‘Three Men in a Boat’, you can enjoy the tranquillity & peace of the riverside setting in our beautiful old beamed Boathouse. 

You can watch your food being grilled on our famous open charcoal fire & in fine weather the Boathouse goes alfresco onto the terrace.  A magical place to sit as you lunch or dine waterside in summer or simply to watch the river traffic with a glass of wine or pint of ale. 

We are on the Thames Path & offer charming B&B accommodation
as well as mooring for those with boats.
