Battersea - Travel
Even though Battersea is close to Chelsea and the rest of London, it is not very well served by transport in general. There is one reasonably large train station, Clapham Junction, at the end of Battersea, but there is no tube service, and the buses tend to be rather erratic. You can reach Battersea by road, though, relatively easily.
Rail You can reach the general Battersea/Clapham area at Clapham Junction. The only problem is that Battersea is quite a large area and it takes a little while to get into the centre of town from Clapham Junction. There are other much smaller local train stations dotted around Battersea, including Clapham High Street, Wandsworth Road, Queenstown Road, and Battersea Park. Most of these train services take you into Battersea from the outskirts of London, though.
Bus There are six regular bus routes.

Vauxhall (Victoria line) and Stockwell (Victoria and Northern line) are also relatively close. To get to the centre of Battersea, you should take tubes to either South Kensington (Piccadilly, District and Circle lines) or Sloane Square (District and Circle lines). From there you can catch buses into Battersea.
