Windsor - Travel
Windsor and Eton are easily accessible from all the Home Counties and London because they are essentially in the middle of everything. The Windsor Royal Station is very easy to reach no matter where you are. Buses tend to be a little awkward but that is, in the main, par for the course in most areas outside London. You can, however, cruise down this particularly glorious stretch of the Thames river in the summer months. There are very few problems getting to the immediate area by car.
Rail All services to the Windsor Royal Station, or Windsor and Eton Central, have to converge on Slough first, which in turn connects you direct to the station. Whether you are coming from Oxford, Henley, Reading, London and all other surrounding areas, it is simple to arrive in Windsor as long as you get off at Slough. Trains from Slough to Windsor depart roughly every 25-30 minutes.
