This Aquarium is one of the largest in Europe. It contains fish of all kinds in as natural a setting as possible. The two largest areas of "Ocean" are those devoted to fish and sea animals of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

The Tower of London is full of delights for families - kids love to see the huge dungeons, where famous prisoners were incarcerated, and later they get to visit the site where the prisoners had their heads chopped off.  The tours by the Beefeaters (The Yeomen Warders of the Tower to give them their proper title) are wonderful, full of the sort of gory detail that youngsters love, and - best of all - the tours are free, once you get into the Tower.  See the thumbscrews and the rack, and the huge axe and block which the gaolers used to chop heads off with.After your visit to the Tower why not round off your day with a boat trip on the Thames from Tower Pier?

This is another amazing FREE day out for families with kids of all ages. If you havn't been before, or if you have not visited the Nat. Hist. for a long time then you are in for a treat.  Kids love the BODY area with loads of inter-active things to press and see what happens, and they have a great time with the dinosaurs and scary animals. This museum is very family friendly, with loos, areas for picnics, teas and coffees for tired adults and frequent special events.

The RSPB: Rainham Marshes

You can expect to see breeding wading birds in spring and summer, and large flocks of wild ducks in winter. Birds of prey and rare birds are regularly seen too. There are also water voles in the ditches and rare dragonflies flit across the boardwalks.
