London Trocadero

13 Coventry Street , W1

Essentially an entertainment complex for the young, although there are plenty of adults who enjoy it, the London Trocadero is a dazzling metallic maze offering unlimited pleasure for the funseeker. Crammed into a reasonably small street in Piccadilly Circus, there is constant congestion both outside and inside the Trocadero. Everything in this complex bombards your senses, but it is easy to enjoy yourself here. The highlight has to be the Segaworld section but there is so much else. There is a massive Virgin cinema complex inside showing both present releases and old favourites from the past. There is an IMAX theatre inside as well. An HMV store with CDs, pop books and videos is perfect for the young, hip and trendy. There is of course plenty of London tourist clothing as well assorted stores near the front selling cool watches, loads of sweets, and cosmetics at The Body Shop. You really know that the Trocadero is cashing in when they insert Madame Tussaud's Rock Circus, filled with waxworks of your favourite rock and pop stars.

However, it is not only all these games centres, cinema complexes and shops that make the Trocadero so impressive but the architecture as well. Amusement park rides and space age elevators punctuate the high-tech surroundings and leave a sort of surface razzle-dazzle to proceedings.

Probably London's most technologically advanced complex, the Trocadero is bound to provide a fountain of fun for children and adolescents.
