The grandeur of Eton College is such that when you approach it you rather wish you had had the opportunity to study here yourself during the early years of your life. The buildings - built as they are like castle fortresses with their splendid turrets, looming spires, and classical balconies - are no less impressive once you are inside them.

The bastions of English tradition and academic learning are to be found in the College's hallowed walls, with the spacious School Yard, the magnificent College Chapel, the ancient Cloister Court, and the Museum of Eton Life. Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College has since played itself into the hearts and minds of England's establishment. The college's historic buildings, particularly the soaring Chapel, are admired all over the country.

If you like beautiful English buildings and are interested in the history of British public school life, you should fully enjoy your one hour tour around the college. You can contact Eton College on 01753 671177.
