The Old Town Hall Arts Centre

Considered to be one of Staines' most prestigious community venues The Old Town Hall Arts Centre does impose itself in a very authoritarian manner on its surroundings. This large brick building is similarly expansive inside, with an auditorium, a meeting room, and a Cellar Bar.

It prides itself as serving the community essentially because they organise events involving children's theatre, pantomimes, stand-up comedy, even opera, art exhibitions, and Shakespearian productions, plus a lot more besides.

The rooms themselves are quite modern and stylish. The Auditorium can hold over 200 people, whilst The Branagh Room, with its chandeliers and minstrels gallery, looks very impressive in a classic sort of way. The plays in particular tend to be of a good standard with visiting companies stopping by to enthrall the town's locals.
