Lloyds of London Building

Lime Street
City of London
EC3

This amazing and futuristic building sits in Lime Street in the heart of the City of London's finance and insurance district. It is the home of the famous institution known as Lloyds of London, which specialises in re-insurance.

The building was designed by Richard Rogers and Partners and completed in 1986. It is built of steel and glass and with an enormous flexible interior space, and contains its own shops and restaurants.  It is considered to be both innovative and futuristic and rivals the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
