Canary Wharf
Docklands LONDON E14
Canary Wharf is an amazing collection of impressive and innovative structures, especially the main Canary Wharf Tower which rises to 800 feet with 50 floors. This makes it Britain's tallest building. Although it is not open to the public, you can admire the Tower from the Docklands Light Railway.
Canary Wharf's many office buildings are also a striking example of modern development, built as they are over and alongside the former docks - large sheets of water that reflect the glass tower blocks and glitter and shimmer in the sunshine.
The other place of interest around Canary Wharf is the Cabot Place complex, which you can find immediately outside the Canary Wharf DLR station. Cabot Place is a buzzing maze of restaurants, bars and cafes and a shopping mall. Cabot Hall is also worth investigating. This is used both as a conference hall and a banqueting venue.
Don't miss the Museum of Docklands, also in the Canary Wharf vicinity.
