Kingston Museum

The museum houses a small exhibition of Kingston over the past 1000 years. There are models, reconstruction's and a large array of original artefacts from medieval boat timbers to a locally made mangle and an early washing machine. The exhibition also features choice items from the boroughs archives and regalia collection. The exhibition has been put together to represent an old market place, this feature has been funded by the National Lottery.
The museum also houses a small Art Gallery which contains different exhibitions all year round. There is also a permanent display on the life and work of Edward Muybridge (1830-1904), pioneer photographer of the moving image.
