The Richmond Museum provides you with its area’s history. As the Museum is fond of pointing out, it has been the home of monarchs, courtiers, and famous poets and artists for the past 800 years. Indeed, Richmond Green was once the scene of royal tournaments and pageants, and even now it is adorned with ornate period houses. As you can probably guess, the museum takes up its space with permanent exhibitions of the town’s history and most inspiring characters. It also goes into great depth on Richmond Palace, which is on Richmond Green.
If you are interested in local history, the Richmond Museum will provide you with more information and enjoyment as some, and it is set in the town’s elaborate marble Town Hall. Indeed, the Town Hall is more than useful because it offers you several useful services, such as an information centre, a gallery, and a reference library. You can contact the museum on 0208 332 1141.
