If you are around Sloane Square, and if you love nature, then you should visit these gardens and obtain some pleasant, soulful peace away from the madness of the King's Road.
The Chelsea Physic Gardens are one of England's oldest botanical gardens, and they were founded by the Society of Apothecaries in 1673. They have many kinds of strange and rare plants and trees, as well as herb, water and rock gardens. These gardens are essentially used for research and education by botanists, but when you enter it you will feel as though you are stepping into the country right off the busy streets of London. They are walled off from the surrounding streets, which give them a very cloistered feel. When you walk into the gardens, it is rather like chancing upon a Japanese tea garden, such is its intricate beauty. The pleasure of the experience is as much in the way you can extract the harmonious aura from the extreme delicacy of the gardens, as in the actual study of the nature around you and the Gardens' history and science.
You will find, Britain's oldest olive tree, greenhouses, and the first rock garden. There is a garden of plants used medicinally by ancient cultures and tribal peoples, a garden of plants used as pharmaceutical medicines and a border devoted to aromatherapy and perfumery plants.
