This great stretch of open space among the houses, offices and Inns of Court is London's largest formal square.  It is hugely popular with the office workers at lunchtimes, and provides an oasis of green in this part of London.  On the north side of the square is Sir John Soane's Museum, and the beautiful turrets and red brick castellated walls of Lincoln's Inn itself are on the east side.
