Hyde Park

Central London

This beautiful park is the largest open space in any city in the World.  It is an oasis of calm and peace among the hustle and bustle of London, and provides much-needed areas of rest and recreation right in the heart of Central London.  It includes such famous roads as "Rotten Row" - which is where you can see smartly dressed riders on equally smart horses exercising up and down Rotten Row.  Early in the morning you should be able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful black horses of the Household Cavalry with their soldier riders.  The Serpentine is a lovely lake in the middle of the park, with waterfowl and fountains. In summer you can join the thousands of people who love coming here with their children and picnics to enjoy the superb surroundings.
