Greenwich Park
This wonderful Park slopes gently up from the banks of the Thames towards Blackheath.

The park is the glorious backdrop to such famous London buildings as the Royal Naval VCollege Greenwich, The National maritime Museum, The Queen's House, The Royal Ovservatory and International Date Line and the Fan Museum. Itw as originally the hunting ground of the Tudor MMonarchs when they had their favourite Palace at Greenwich, known as Placentia. Queen Elizabeth 1st love the Park and she often rode in it. Today it is open to the public to enjoy the magnificent trees and vistas across the London skyline.
Nearest Tube station: Greenwich - Jubilee Line then a 15 minute walk. |
