Crayford Marshes and Riverway
For visitors to Bexley who choose to savour the simple pleasures of a country walk a visit to Crayford Marshes is not to be missed. An important and interesting habitat for wildlife, the marshes provide shelter for many species of waterbirds. Herons frequently feed in the River Cray and the mudflats exposed at low tide provide food for lapwing and dunlin. The marshes can be reached by buses serving adjacent housing estates.
