Docklands

Visiting Docklands is not just for work - it is also one of the most attractive parts of London. It's an exquisite place to be in the evenings, with beautifully lit buildings and the spectacular Docklands Light Railway. The area is also accessible for walking, with bridges over the many wharfs and DLR stations that are within a short distance of each other.

The area suffered heavy bombing during the Second World War and a decline in its Port Activities in the 1960s and 1970s.   But it has enjoyed economic rejuvenation and regeneration since the early 1990s, and has now become a very popular place to live amongst the city workers.

There are many restaurants within the Canary Wharf and West India Quay areas with great views. There is also a shopping mall within the Canary Wharf complex with a cinema and restaurants inside to complement it.
