Weybridge
Famous for having the world's first campsite established in 1901 making it one of the pioneers of camping, Weybridge is a thriving town located in Surrey and standing where the River Thames and River Wey meet.

It's an exclusive area, with many nice shops, bars, restaurants and hotels. In 2008, six of the ten most expensive streets in South East England (defined as the official government region, excluding Greater London) were in Weybridge. It's the home of many celebrities including the England Football Team Captain John Terry, singer Cliff Richard, and popular TV presenter Eamon Holmes. It is also the British headquarters of electronic giants, Sony and Toshiba.

Weybridge was home to Oatlands Palace, largely destroyed under Cromwell (but the bricks were used to help line the new Wey Canal) and now a hotel occupies the site. The Elmbrige Museum and Library are located in the main shopping street and nearby there's a very pretty church, pubs, restaurants and good shops  - all worth a visit.

Some of the events include the Concorde Experience at the nearby Brooklands Museum the entrance for which is free for children.
