Absolute Pleasure Boats The M.V. Royalty offers an open fore deck, reception area and lounge bar plus a comfortable lower saloon. Both are furnished with upholstered chairs.
The Top deck also has comfortable chairs and solid wood tables to add to the comfort and convenience of your guests. The Upper deck has a covered dance floor and uninterrupted viewing through the sliding glass windows, and there is access from the deck onto the open Aft deck. In all, making this a delightful vessel suitable for charters in all weathers.
The Royalty's maximum capacity for sightseeing tours is 195 including crew. We would suggest that for a Buffet Dance with plenty of room to move around and without overcrowding, 160 passengers can be accomodated comfortably.
For that extra special occasion or promotion, we can offer silver service meals in the lower saloon for 48 people therefore leaving plenty of room for your confidential business conference, exhibition or reception. Alternatively, you could just enjoy a relaxing cruise with a drink from our well stocked bar.
The M.V. Royalty was built as a steam passenger vessel in 1913 by Salter Brothers. She was also commissioned in 1940 by the Royal Navy as a hospital ship for the injured soldiers returning from Dunkirk. Since then the Royalty has undergone considerable refurbishment and almost complete rebuilding to meet stringent M.C.A. requirements.
The M.V. Royalty is currently powered by an eight cylinder Gardner diesel engine giving a service speed of 15 knots. Electrical power is supplied by via a 21 Kva diesel generator
