Meejana, established in 2007 in Weybridge and recently expanded to incorporate the former Hussein Tandoori next door, offers the widest selection of mezze, including traditional dishes such as hummus, moutabbal and tabbouleh as well as more exotic dishes such as frogs' legs and lamb sweetbreads, as well as a wide array of seafood.
Alongside traditional grills, Meejana also offers a wide selection of family dishes drawn from the owner's Lebanese heritage and you'll find traditional dishes such as Kibbeh Labaniyeh as well as house specialities like Djej Meejana (12-spiced chicken) and Kharouf Ouzi (Lamb Shank with Ouzi Rice). Desserts include baklawa, Om Ali, artisan ice creams and home made crepes. The space is welcoming with warm tones making you feel at home. An eclectic mix of decorative flourishes bring the Levantine flavour to the fore.
The wine list has been hand-picked to compliment the food and there is something for every palette from the Lebanese house red through to classics such from St Emilion and ‘discovery’ wines such as the Syrian Domaine Bargylus, Gruner Veltliner and a lovely Carmenere from Chile. Meejana offers wines from many Lebanese producers as well as European, Old and New World bottles and all have been personally tasted before being listed.
We have been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence every year since 2011, and in 2018 the LUX Tourism award for Best Middle Eastern Dining Experience in Surrey.
